AAI ATC Nationality

The candidates have to be Indian Nationals, to be eligible for the recruitment. They will need to produce valid proof of document during the verification stage, in support of their claims being the citizens of India.

AAI ATC Experience Required 

When an individual works in a specific position, industry, or profession, they acquire work experience. Work experience provides employees with the knowledge and skills that are necessary for their job. The AAI has outlined the required work experience for various positions.

Posts Experience Required
Junior Executive (Air Traffic Control) For this position, work experience is not required. 
Junior Executive (Official Language) For this position, applicants must have a two-year translation background, with a preference for technical or scientific literature, from English to Hindi and Hindi to English.
Manager (Official Language) Candidates applying for the Manager (Official Language) position must have technical or scientific literature translation experience, preferably from Hindi to English and English to Hindi. They must also have five years of experience as an officer in any office of the federal or state governments, including public sector enterprises, in the field of Raj Bhasha.
Senior Assistant (Official Language) This position requires applicants to have two years of experience translating from English to Hindi or vice versa in a central or state government office, as well as in reputable organizations or Government of India undertakings.

AAI ATC Age Limit 

AAI ATC age limit specifies the minimum and maximum age for various posts. Generally, the minimum age to apply for AAI ATC is 18 years, while the maximum age limit is 27 years. However, there is a relaxation of 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

Manager Maximum age 32 years as on 21 January 2024.
Senior Assistant Maximum age 30 years as on 21 January 2024.

AAI ATC Age Relaxation:

Age relaxation is provided for candidates from the reserved category. It enables applicants to take the exam even if they do not fulfil the general age requirements. Category-wise age relaxation criteria are given below:

OBC (non-Creamy layer) The upper age limit is relaxed by 3 years for OBC (non-Creamy layer) candidates.
SC/ ST The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST candidates. 
PWD The maximum age for PWD candidates is 10 years less provided they can provide proof of their disability, which must be issued by the proper authority on or before January 21, 2024.
AAI Employee The upper age limit for applicants who are AAI full-time employees at the time of application is relaxed by ten years.
Other Age relaxation for widows, divorcees, and women who have been legally divorced from their husbands but haven’t remarried is up to 35 years for the position of Senior Assistant.

AAI ATC Educational Qualification 

To be eligible for AAI ATC, aspirants must have completed a full-time regular Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university or institute. Candidates should hold a master’s degree in the pertinent fields for the roles of Manager and Senior Assistant. The educational qualification of AAI JE ATC differs depending on the position. The detailed educational requirement for different posts of AAI ATC is given below:

  • Masters in English with Hindi as a subject at the graduate level. OR
  • A master’s degree in a subject other than Hindi or English from an accredited university, as well as Hindi and English as the language of instruction, required or elective subjects, or the examination medium for graduation. OR
  • A Master’s degree in a subject other than Hindi or English from a reputable university along with Hindi and English as required or elective subjects at the undergraduate level. OR
  • Masters in Hindi with English at the graduate level. OR 
  • Graduation from a university with English and Hindi as required or optional subjects, or any other subject is chosen from both as required or optional, plus a recognised diploma or certificate in Hindi to English and English to Hindi translation.
Manager (Official Language)
  • Post-Graduation in Hindi or English with English or Hindi, respectively, as a Subject at the Degree Level. OR
  • Post-Graduation in any subject with Hindi and English as required / elective subjects at the degree level
Junior Executive (Official Language) Post-Graduation in Hindi or English with English or Hindi as a Subject at the Degree Level. OR

Post-Graduation in any subject with English and Hindi as required or elective subjects at the degree level.

Junior Executive (Air Traffic Control) A regular full-time bachelor’s degree in engineering from any field. (Physics and mathematics ought to be included in any semester’s curriculum). OR

A three-year, full-time, regular bachelor’s degree in science (B.Sc.) in Mathematics and Physics.

AAI ATC Medical Standards
