The Combined Civil Services -I Examination (Group-I Services) is conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) to recruit candidates for the posts of Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Assistant Commissioner, Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Assistant Director of rural development and District Officer (Fire Rescue Services). The Group 1 Services cut-off or minimum qualifying marks of selection are provided in the official notification released by the TNPSC. TNPSC Group 1 Exam Pattern 2023
The TNPSC Group 1 Services examination comprises 3 phases i.e. preliminary examination, main written examination and oral test or interview.
Phase 1- Preliminary Examination
TNPSC Group 1 preliminary examination is objective in nature. The number of questions, maximum duration of exam and other aspects related to the preliminary examination are given in the table below.

Phase 2 Main Written Examination

Phase 3 Interview/Oral Test
The last phase of the TNPSC Group 1 Services exam is an interview which carries 100 marks. Candidates who obtain minimum qualifying marks in the main written examination are called for an interview. For final selection, marks of both the main examination and the interview are taken into consideration.
