IIT Indore or Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IITI) is located in Madhya Pradesh. It was established by the Government of India and started functioning in 2009, July. Under the supervision of IIT Bombay, IIT Indore was started on a temporary campus at the Institute of Engineering and Technology of Devi Ahilya University. The IIT Indore campus is spread over an area of around 501.42 acres at Simrol, on Khandwa Road about 25 km from the city of Indore. In 2016, IIT Indore started functioning at the permanent campus. This institute is designated as the Institute of National Importance by the Government of India.

IIT Indore – Admission
The admission to IIT Indore is mainly based on ranks obtained in entrance tests. The qualifying exams for the B.Tech. courses are JEE Main and JEE Advanced. For M.Tech./MS courses, a valid GATE score and four-year bachelor’s degree or five-year integrated degree with first division (as specified by the awarding institute/university for Indian applicants and equivalent for international applicants) is required. For MSc, IIT JAM and graduation in the relevant stream is required. Qualifying exam for PhD is GATE/ UGC NET/ CSIR NET and a master’s degree in a relevant stream with first division (as specified by the awarding institute/university).
