OPSC OAS Exam Pattern

Preliminary exam pattern

  • The preliminary question paper consists of multiple-choice based questions.
  • This paper has 2 parts, and candidates have 2 hours to solve each of them.
  • Out of paper 1 and paper 2, the latter is qualifying in nature. Applicants have to score 33% minimum to be eligible for the mains exam.
  • There will be a deduction of 1/4th of the assigned mark for each wrong answer.

Mains Exam Pattern

To qualify for the mains exam, candidates must score at least 33%. The OPSC OAS question paper for mains has 2 parts. One is a compulsory subject, and the other is optional.

  • This exam has 5 compulsory papers and 4 optional subject papers.
  • It is an essay based exam consisting of 9 exam sets.
  • Candidates will have 3 hours for each paper.
  • Paper 1 and paper 2 have a difficulty level of 10th standard and are qualifying.
