Frequently Asked Questions on SOF Olympiad Exam

Q1

How are students ranked in the olympiad exams?

All of the competitors in the olympiad exams are ranked based on their exam scores and individual accomplishments. Students are issued a Student Performance Report (SPR) after the results are announced, which includes a thorough analysis of the student’s performance.
Q2

Which SOF exams are divided into two levels?

As you may be aware, there are three SOF examinations; however, not all of them have two levels. NSO, IMO, and IEO are the only organisations with two levels. In these tests, the qualifying conditions are very strict. At the school level, students who receive a minimum of 50% in level one (assuming at least 10 students took the test) are qualified for the second level. The top 25 rank holders from level one will advance to level 2 at the zonal level. Finally, on a worldwide basis, the top 5% of students who have passed the first level will advance to the second level.
Q3

What books should students read for the SOF exam?

The SOF exam syllabus follows the ICSE, CBSE, and several state boards’ curricula. As a result, students who want to take this test can use their textbooks as their major source of exam preparation.
