The Bihar Public Service Commission conducted the CDPO Mains exam for the year 2022 on November 8th and 9th, 2022. The admit cards for the exam were available to download on November 2nd, 2022 on the official website of the commission. The Children Development Project Officer (CDPO) exam is among the most renowned exams the Bihar Public Service Commission conducts for the social welfare department in Bihar. The BPSC CDPO exam is conducted in three stages: Prelims, Mains and Interviews.

The official notification for BPSC CDPO 2022 exam was released on March 3, 2021. The BPSC CDPO Recruitment Notification 2022 was published to fill 55 positions of Child Development Officer. The minimum educational criteria, age restriction and nationality requirements must be met by applicants in order for them to be considered for the BPSC CDPO selection process in 2023.

BPSC CDPO Selection Process

The three steps of the BPSC CDPO Selection Process are listed below.

• Prelims: The preliminary step of the selection process entails an exam with 150 total questions which are objective in nature. Each question carries 1 mark and there is no negative marking. The candidates who are able to score above the cut off marks are eligible to write the next stage of the exam.
• Mains: Candidates will be selected to appear in the Mains Exam, which is the next phase of the selection process. The Mains stage includes two rounds of exams: compulsory and optional paper sections. Candidates must pass both sections to appear for the final stage of the exam.
• Interview: Candidates who obtain marks more than the cut off marks in both Prelims and Mains are then called for the final stage of the exam, the Interview. The Interview will be conducted for 120 marks.

BPSC CDPO Eligibility

BPSC CDPO Exam Pattern & Syllabus

Understanding the Bihar CDPO test format is essential. Information about the types of questions asked, the total marks awarded, the time allotted, negative marking and other details are provided in the exam pattern. The exam schedule for each stage of the exam is detailed in the table below:

Prelims:

The BPSC CDPO is an online or computer-based test. There will be 150 questions in total. Multiple-choice questions of the objective kind will be included in the test. One mark will be given for each correct answer to the question and there will be no negative marking.

Mains: 

The Mains exam has four subjects and is subjective in nature. Besides Hindi, which carries 100 marks, the three papers carry 300 marks each. The total duration of the exam is 3 hours.

BPSC CDPO Notification

As stated above the CDPO Exam is conducted in three stages: Prelims, Mains and Interviews. Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) releases an official notification announcing the vacancies for Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) on its official website.

BPSC CDPO Online Application

The BPSC CDPO online application process will be notified with the release of official notification for 2023 recruitment.

The application for the CDPO exam is accepted online. If candidates want to appear for the BPSC CDPO exam, they must apply online. The 2022 Child Development Project Officer exam received submissions for the Prelims exam from March 5th to April 1st, 2021.  The online application for the Mains exam was started on October 7th, 2022. BPSC CDPO Admit Card

Admit Card is an important document for any competitive exam. No candidate will be permitted to take the exam without an admit card, hence applicants must download their BPSC CDPO Admit Card beforehand. The BPSC CDPO admit card will be uploaded three to four days before the exam on the official website of the commission. BPSC CDPO Cut Off

The cut off is the minimum score needed to advance to the next step of the recruitment process. The total number of vacancies, the number of applicants who took the CDPO Exam, the degree of exam difficulty, etc. are some of the factors that affect the cut off marks. If a candidate does not meet the cutoff marks, he will be regarded as ineligible for further consideration.

The BPSC CDPO Prelims cut off was announced recently. For general applicants, the BPSC CDPO cut off 2022 was 105 marks. For general (female) candidates, the cut off score is 100.

BPSC CDPO Results

The results of the CDPO exam are declared after each step of the examination is over. The BPSC publishes results for each stage, separately on the official website.

The results of the BPSC CDPO Prelims test were released on September 12, 2022. Out of the 96840 applicants who sat for the CDPO exam, 883 were chosen to take the Mains exam, which was held on the 8th and 9th of November 2022.

BPSC CDPO Answer Key

The official BPSC CDPO answer key 2022 PDF for the General Studies papers for sets A, B, C and D are released separately on the official website of the commission. Based on how well candidates perform in the exam, candidates can compute their score and confirm the correct answers for sets A, B, C and D, using the answer key. 

The 2023 answer key will be released once exam is conducted and results are announced.

The answer key is provided for the CDPO Prelims exam only. There is no answer key for the CDPO Mains exam as it is subjective in nature. Important dates related to the answer key are:

BPSC CDPO Job Profile

The job description for the BPSC CDPO as well as the salary information must be known by all interested candidates. Once chosen as a CDPO under the commission, one will be required to carry out the following duties:

• Decrease the risk of death, hunger, illness and rate of school dropout.
• To better health and nutrition.
• Development in the areas of physical, psychological and social wellness to offer children a stronger foundation to flourish and grow. 
• Improved departmental coordination which is necessary to support child development.
• Implement a Supplementary Nutrition Program.
• Implement the ICDS scheme.
• Submission of ideas to the Directorate regarding plans, the budget estimate, the five-year plan, the annual plan, etc.
• To support nursing moms in caring for their newborns and to provide for all the child’s nutritional and health needs by providing adequate nutrition and health education.

BPSC CDPO Salary

The BPSC CDPO Salary and Benefits in 2023 would be closely related to the level 11 pay matrix of the Bihar Government. The salary range for BPSC CDPOs as of pay level 9 and following the 7th Pay Commission is between Rs 53100 and 167800, according to the BPSC CDPO Notification 2021–2022.
