- A preliminary Examination consisting of an objective test will be conducted online.
- Candidates must note that the English Language section in the prelims exam is only qualifying in nature and the maximum marks that can be scored in the prelims exam is 70.
- The total duration of the preliminary written exam will be 1 hour or 60 minutes.
- A candidate will lose 0.25 marks for each incorrect attempt at a question.
- The main exam will include a 200-mark objective examination with separate timing for every section.
- In the objective tests for the mains exam, each incorrect response will result in a deduction of one-fourth of a mark.
- The final selection will be made based on a candidate’s performance in the Main Examination (Phase II) and the results of the Interview, not on the marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase I).
The last step is the Pre Recruitment Medical Examination. The candidates who are shortlisted after the merit is calculated based on mains exam and interview are called for the medical test. Only the candidates who qualify for the medical exam are appointed for the post of LIC AAO.
