The UPSC has released the official answer keys to the civil services prelims exam that was conducted in June last year. The answer keys for all four series of question papers have been released.
The final result of the UPSC civil services exam was declared a few days back by the commission. Kanishak Kataria from Rajasthan bagged the first rank. Akshat Jain secured rank 2 while the topper among women candidates is Srushti Jayant Deshmukh, who secured the overall fifth rank. Kataria secured 55.36% in the mains written + interview rounds.

The UPSC released the official answer keys to both the papers of the prelims exam only after the final result of the IAS exam is declared. There have been demands that the UPSC release the official answer keys immediately after the prelims results are out, or a few days after the prelims itself is conducted. Such a move will definitely help many aspirants plan their next move with respect to the civil services.
The UPSC Prelims cut off marks for 2018 was 98 for the General category. The cut off was 96.66 for OBC, 84 for SC and 83.34 for ST categories. This is out of a total of 200 marks.
