BCECE 2023

The BCECE (Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination) is the entrance examination for admission to different professional courses in various Engineering, Medical, and Agriculture colleges under the government of Bihar. It is being conducted by BCECEB (Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board) as constituted under the 1995 BCECE Act.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Nationality

Candidates applying for BCECE must be a citizen of India.

2. Domicile Requirement

  • Candidates applying for BCECE should have a domicile of Bihar.
  • The parents of the candidate should be a permanent resident of Bihar
  • If the parents of the candidates are from a different state, they should be Government employees of Bihar.

3. Age Limit

There is no lower age limit or an upper age limit to appear for BCECE.

4. Qualification

Candidates who have completed or will be appearing for the Class 12 examination are eligible to apply for BCECE.

5. Qualifying marks

Candidates from the general category should score 45% marks in the Class 12 examination and SC/ST/OBC Category should score 40%.

6. Qualifying Subjects

The candidates must have studied subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology in Class 12.

BCECE – Exam Marking Scheme

BCECE examination includes subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Biology and Agriculture. Depending on the course candidates want to apply for, they can pick the subjects they want to attempt in BCECE. The BCECE question paper has sections from the following group of subjects.

  • PCM: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
  • PCB: Physics, Chemistry and Biology
  • PCMB: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology
  • CBA: Chemistry, Biology and Agriculture

Each subject includes 100 multiple-choice questions. BCECE examination has negative marking, for every wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted. The following table gives details of the marking scheme for every subject.
