UPSC Civil Services Main Result 2016 was declared today evening i.e., on February 21, 2017.
UPSC Civil Services Mains 2016 Result – The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the results of Civil Services Mains (written) Exam 2016 Results. Approximately, around 2500 plus candidates have cleared the exam and qualified for the final round i.e. Personality Test/Interview. The candidates who have qualified in the mains exam would be summoned for the interview in the month of March/April 2017.
Below given are the highlights of the official announcement of Civil Services Main Exam 2016 from UPSC:
About 9 lakh candidates applied for the civil services IAS 2016 prelims exam and 4 lakh odd candidates appeared in the exam, while only 15000 plus candidates made it to the mains exam.
Based on the results of the civil services main examination, 2016 held by the UPSC in December, 2016, the candidates with the under mentioned Roll Numbers have qualified for the final round i.e. the Personality Test/Interview for the selection of civil services of Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ including Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS) among the others.
The application of these candidates is found eligible in all aspects that are subject to the provision. The candidates should carry their original certificates as proof of age, educational qualification, physical handicap, and other documents like Attestation Form, TA Form, Questionnaire and etc. during the time of Personality Test. Candidates can download the Questionnaire, Attestation Form, TA Form, and also the formats of SC/ST/OBC and PH Certificates on the official website of the Commission. Hence, candidates should ensure that they are ready with these documents.

The Personality Test/interview of these candidates would commence from 20th March 2017. The final round i.e. Personality Test will be conducted at the Office of the Union Public Service Commission in Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069.
The in detailed program of the Personality Test will be uploaded on the UPSC website http://www.upsc.gov.in.
The e-Summon letters will be made available on the Commission’s http://www.upsc.gov.in on very soon.
The qualified candidates who are unable to download their e-Summon letters from the UPSC website should contact the Office of the Commission through Phone Nos. 011- 23385271, 011-23381125, 011-23098543 or Fax No. 011-23387310, 011-23384472 at lease 5 days in prior to the commencement of the said Personality Test/Interview.
There will be only e-summon letters and no more paper summon letters will be issued for the Personality Test/Interview by the commission.
The Commission would not entertain any request for change in date and time of the Personality Test.
The candidates are advised to notify if any changes in their address, to the commission immediately through letter or Fax the same at the above mentioned numbers.
The marks sheets of candidates, who have not qualified, will be put on the UPSC Website within 15 days of publication of the final result (after conducting Personality Test) and will be available on the Website for a period of 60 days.
