History of Punjab Board (PSEB)

The PSEB or Punjab School Education Board is a school board based in Chandigarh, India, which was founded in 25 November 1969, 49 years ago through a legislative act (Punjab Act No. 24 of 1969) by the Punjab Government for the development and promotion of school education in the state of Punjab. In 1987, the Vidhan Sabha amended the Board’s Act to grant it autonomy. PSEB Class 10th Exam

The Punjab board Class 10 exams are conducted in the month of March-April every year. Around 4 lakh students appear for the PSEB class 10 exams every year, which is held at various test centres across the state. The Class 10 pass percentage for PSEB 2019 was 85.86%, while in 2022, the pass percentage reached 99.06%. 2023 saw a slight decline in performance with an overall pass percentage of 97.56%.

PSEB Class 12th Exam

The Punjab board Class 12 exams are conducted in the month of February-March every year. The Class 12 pass percentage for PSEB 2022 was 96.96% and this year it decreased to 92.47%. The PSEB 12th result was declared on 25th May 2023.
