SSC General Duty Constable Notification Updates-

August 14th 2020 – SSC released SSC GD notification announcing the exam date and admit card for the GD Detailed Medical Examination 2018. The GD DME exam is scheduled from August 24th 2020 onwards. SSC GD Constable Notification

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) administers an open competitive examination for the recruitment of various vacancies for Constables (General Duty) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), NIA & SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles (AR) Examination available in various States/ Union Territories across India.

SSC GD Notification details 2018-2019

  • SSC released a GD notification on March 23rd 2020, stating that the Medical examination 2018 is postponed due to the massive Coronavirus outbreak.  SSC GD Constable Medical Examination 2018 was postponed for three different categories. The details of the SSC GD Notification regarding exam postponement is given below:

  • SSC postpones the RME – Review Medical Examination 2018, which was scheduled from 24th March 2020 to 30th April 2020, in respect of candidates of (GD) Constable in CAPFs, SSF, NIA, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles.
  • SSC postpones the  DME – Detailed Medical Examination 2018 scheduled to be held from 26th March 2020 to 07th April 2020 in respect of 1,723 candidates of Constable (GD) in CAPFs, SSF, NIA, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles. 
  • SSC postpones the DME – Detailed Medical Examination which was scheduled to be held from 23rd March 2020 to 30th March 2020 for the remaining candidates of Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police, CAPFs and Assistant Sub-Inspector in CISF Examination, 2018.

  • SSC has released admit card for SSC GD Detailed Medical Examination 2018-19. A total of 1,50,548 candidates have been shortlisted to appear for DME scheduled to be conducted from 9th January 2020 to 13th January 2020. Selected candidates can download their SSC Constable GD DME admit cards from the official websites of CRPF i.e.

SSC has again revised SSC GD vacancy. SSC GD Constable 2018-2019 have been revised on December 16th, 2019. SSC has now announced a total of 60210 SSC GD vacancy for GD Constable Post in CAPFs Departments.

SSC GD Application Fee:

SSC GD Admit Card

Upon completion of the SSC GD online application procedure, the SSC GD Admit Card is released soon enough.

Applicants who had successfully filled the SSC GD Application Form for the 2018-19 exam were able to download the exam call letter on February 4, 2019, as per the latest information given in the SSC GD Notification.

Likewise, for the 2019-20 SSC GD Exam, eligible applicants can download the Call Letter from the website of the concerned SSC Regional Office upon intimation.

It is specified in the official SSC GD Notification that the dates of Computer Based Examination (CBE) are subject to change as per the final discretion of the commission and the new date will be notified accordingly. Steps to download the SSC GD Constable Admit Card:

  1. Visit the SSC official website (
  2. Click on the link ‘SSC GD Admit Card’.
  3. Enter the required credentials, i.e. Registration ID and Date of Birth (DoB).
  4. Retain a printout of the Call Letter which needs to be carried to the examination centre on the scheduled exam date.
