JEE 2022 Exam Categories
JEE 2022 will be conducted in two main phases namely JEE Main and JEE Advanced. JEE Main will be the first phase of the entrance exam and only those who clear this exam will be eligible for the second phase which is JEE Advanced. JEE Main 2022
JEE Main is the preliminary stage. Students who clear this exam are provided admissions in 20 IIITs, 31 NITs, and 18 other Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs). National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the JEE Main 2022 exam. They will also declare the results and administer the counselling process.
Additionally, clearing this exam and being in the top ranks is very important. Candidates will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced only after clearing JEE Main and that too with a high score.
JEE Main 2022 will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) in two sessions which will be held in the months of April and May. Students can appear for any of the two sessions. The best score out of all the sessions will be considered for admissions or eligibility for JEE Advanced. JEE Main merit list will be based on percentile scores.
The exam will be held online in a computer-based mode and will consist of three papers. Paper 1 will be for B.Tech, Paper 2A for B.Arch programmes and Paper 2B will be for B.Planning courses. The major subjects included in the syllabus are Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. JEE Advanced 2022
JEE Advanced is the second or final phase of JEE. This exam is conducted by 7 different zonal IITs on a rotational basis every year. Candidates who clear JEE Main and are in the top ranks will be eligible to write this exam.
Through this exam, aspirants are provided admissions for B.E. or B.Tech. courses in 23 IIT and 9 Primer institutes. The exam is conducted in a computer-based test (online) and consists of two papers. The exam is carried out in two shifts on the same day. Both paper 1 and paper 2 are mandatory papers and only those students who clear both will make it to the merit list.
