In the section of syllogism, 2 to 3 statements are given and one has to draw a conclusion. The conclusions may also be given in the question and the candidate has to realize whether the conclusions follow the given statement logically or not.
Often negative statements and conclusions are also asked i.e. the candidate will have to identify which of the conclusion does not follow the given statement.
In this type of questions, a Venn diagram should be drawn on the basis of the given statements. This is can be understood better with a simple example.

In this section, some statements will be given which will indicate or illustrate a seating arrangement. The candidate is required to solve the given set of questions after identifying the actual positions from the statement.
The main advantage of these types of question is that if a candidate can properly realize the actual seating arrangement from the statements, then he/she can easily solve all the given set of questions. But if the realization is wrong, then all the questions in the set will be wrong.
There are two types of questions based on the Seating arrangement:
- Linear / Row Seating arrangement:
Here floor based or problems involving single row are asked. Sometimes problems based on two rows is also asked.
- Circular seating arrangement:
These will include Uni-directional as well as Bi-directional problems and sometimes may also have rectangular or other polygonal arrangements.

So, we can see from the seating arrangement that Rima is seating right of Minnie.
