IBPS Cwe

Institute of banking personnel selection or IBPS is an exam held to recruit candidates for the post of clerks, Probationary Officers (PO), Specialist officers(SO) and regional rural banks(RRB). IBPS conducts common written examination (CWE) for the selection of the deserving candidates on behalf of 21 nationalized banks. IT is the only body which conducts written test where the personal interviews are managed by the respective participating banks in accordance with the vacancies. CWE is a two tier system where tier-I is easy and tier II has a higher level of difficulty.

IBPS Clerk CWE

A candidate who has filled the application form online will be shortlisted for this examination. Those eligible candidates who clear the prelims examination will be called for the mains.

Date-2nd, 3rd, 9th &10th of December 2017

Pattern-100 questions for 100 marks in 1 hour

Subjects-English, Reasoning & numerical

Mains examination:

Date-21st January 2018

Pattern-200 questions for 200 marks in 2 hours

Subjects- English, Reasoning, Numerical, General awareness, Computer knowledge

Negative marking- 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong attempt.

IBPS PO CWE

The candidates who apply for the post of PO needs to fill up the form online before giving this examination. Those who clear the written examination will be called for interview.

  • Mode of written examination: Online

Preliminary examination:

Date-7nd, 8th, 14th &15th of October 2017

Pattern-100 questions for 100 marks in 1 hour

Subjects-English, Reasoning & numerical

Mains examination:

Date-26th November 2017

Pattern-200 questions for 200 marks in 2 hours

Subjects- English, Reasoning, Numerical, General awareness, Computer knowledge

Negative marking- 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong attempt.

After declaration of the result, the candidates will be called for interview.

IBPS SO CWE

The candidates who apply for multiple positions under SO needs to do the registration online. The examination venue will be given accordingly to appear for this common written test.

  • Mode of written examination: Online

Preliminary examination:

Date-20th & 31st of December 2017

Pattern-100 questions for 100 marks in 1 hour

Subjects-English, Reasoning & numerical

Mains examination:

Date-28th January 2018

Pattern-200 questions for 200 marks in 2 hours

Subjects- Professional Knowledge and the same as in prelims

Negative marking- 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong attempt.

Once the candidates go through this written examination they will be called for interview.

IBPS RRB CWE

The candidates are required to be well acquainted with the structure and the syllabus of the IBPS RRB Exam. Those appearing for office assistants and scale I officers will be required to appear for only prelims and mains. For the post of the officer under RRB, those who clear the written test will be called for interview.

Preliminary examination:

Date-1st week of November 2017

Pattern-80 questions for 80 marks in 45 minutes

Subjects-Reasoning & numerical

Medium- Bilingual test(both in English and Hindi)

Mains examination:

Date-mid of December 2017

Pattern-200 questions for 200 marks in 2 hours

Subjects- Reasoning, General awareness, Numerical, English Language, Hindi                       Language & Computer Knowledge

The results for the written exams will be announced in the tentative dates which are yet to be announced.
