There is just a single stage that a candidate needs to qualify in order to be selected for the Assistant Manager post in the SIDBI exam.
The detailed SIDBI exam pattern is mentioned in the official notification of the Small Industries Development Bank of India examination. SIDBI reserves the right to modify the structure of the examination which will be intimated through its official website.

- The candidates would be evaluated by way of an online examination consisting of objective test as well as descriptive test followed by Personal Interview. Which means, there will be one stage of written exam divided into two parts followed by an Interview.

- Online Test contains 160 questions with an overall duration of 02 hours while there will be 3 descriptive type questions to be completed in 60 minutes.
- Total time allowed for objective test : 120 minutes
- Total questions in objective test: 160 questions
- Subjects covered in online test – english language, Reasoning aptitude, Quantitative Aptitude and General awareness
- Sectional Timing- Yes
- Sectional Cut Off- Yes
- Negative marking- 0.25 marks
- Total time for Descriptive test: 60 minutes
- Total Questions in descriptive test – 3 questions (two essays and one letter writing, Candidates will be required to answer by typing on computer)

SIDBI Exam pattern important pointers –
- All tests, except the English Language and Descriptive test will be provided in both English and Hindi.
- For objective type of tests, there will be a penalty for wrong answers marked by the candidates. For every wrong answer marked.
- Cutoffs may be applied in two stages: (i) On scores in individual tests (ii) On Total Score.
- Candidates will be shortlisted for Interview on the basis of marks scored in objective and descriptive section taken together against full marks of 250.
- The Descriptive Test will be evaluated only for those candidates who qualify in the Objective type of tests (on total and individual sections of objective tests) and are ranked adequately high as per total marks in the objective test.
- As per GoI guidelines, Pre-recruitment training (PRT) would be conducted for reserved categories i.e. SC/ST/OBC candidates for 8 days’ duration.
- Accordingly, PRT would be conducted for willing SC/ST /OBC candidates whose applications are found eligible as per the SIDBI eligibility criteria.
