Solution

The correct option is C

Equator

Step 1. Gravity g on the surface of Earth,

Acceleration due to gravity is represented by g. The standard value of g on the surface of the earth at sea level is 9.8ms2,

We know, at the north pole the radius of Earth R=6,356,800m and at the equator the radius of Earth R=6,378,100m.
Step 2. Gravity g at the north pole and equator,

So, we can deduce,

g (at north pole)=GMR2=9.86ms2

g (at equator) =GMR2=9.80ms2

Where, G is the Universal Gravitational constant and M is the mass of Earth.

So, The acceleration due to gravity at the north poles is greater than at the equator.

Thus, the same quantity of matter will weigh more at the poles.

Therefore, a person will get more quantity of matter in kg-wt near the equator.

Hence, the correct option is (C).
