Escape velocity and orbital velocity

orbital velocity is given by vo=GMr

and escape velocity is given by ve=2GMr

where G is gravitational constant, M is mass of body and r is distance from centre of mass

From the above relations we have,

ve=2vo

The body ejected from satellite will have velocity vo=v initially,

so the kinetic energy is 12mve2=12m2vo2=mv2

Hence, option B is correct.
