Radius=R

Step 2. Find the percentage change in the satellite time period of revolution:

According to Kepler's law,

TR(3/2) ......(1)

Where,

T= time period

R= radius

Now, differentiating both sides we get

dT=32R(12)dR

Now, Dividing both sides by equation (1), we get

dTT=32R(12)R(32)dR

dTT=32dRR​ .......(2)

Now,

Step 3. Percentage difference in radius is

=dRR×100%=1.02RRR×100%=2%

So, Percentage difference in time period,

=dTT×100=23×2=3%

Thus, the percentage change in its time period of revolution is 3%

Hence, (B) is correct option.
