How dangerous is potassium dichromate?

Potassium dichromate is the dipotassium salt of dichromic acid and an inorganic chemical reagent.
It acts as an oxidising agent, an allergen, and a sensitizer.
If potassium dichromate is swallowed it leads to coma, abnormal bleeding, kidney damage and sometimes results in death.
When potassium dichromate is exposed to skin it causes skin irritation, severe burn, pain etc.
It is used in the leather tanning industry.
