Open in App
Solution

Colloids

  1. Colloids are the mixture of microscopically dispersed particles in which one of the dispersed constituent is immiscible in another one.
  2. In the mixture in which one or more substances are dispersed as large solid particles or liquid droplets throughout a solid, liquid, or gaseous medium.
  3. Colloids do not settle due to gravity thus particles remain dispersed and are electrically charged.

Therefore, the above points clearly explains the working of colloids.
