Solution

The correct option is D

noneofthese

Find the ratio of the numbers :

Let a and b be the numbers,

Then HM=2ab(a+b)

GM=(ab)

Given HMGM=1213

[2ab](a+b)(ab)=12/13

2(ab)(a+b)=1213

(ab)(a+b)=613

(a+b)(ab)=136

ab+ba=136

Let ab=p,p+1p=136

6p2-13p+6=0

Solving using quadratic formula

We get p=23or32

p2=49or94

So, ab=49or94

Hence, the option (D) is correct.
