Solution

The correct option is B

0.025m

Step 1: Given that and simplify

Let the end correction in a closed organ pipe be l

Length of the air column, l1=0.1m

Step 2: Calculate the fundamental mode

Apply the formula of the fundamental mode

f1=v4l1+lf1=v40.1+l.......1

Step 3: Calculate the value of the first overtone

Length of air column for the first overtone, l2=0.35m

f1=3v4l2+lf1=3v40.35+l......2

Step 4: Calculate the value of the end correction

According to the question

Equation1=Equation2v40.1+l=3v40.35+l

On solving, we get

0.35+l=0.3+ll=0.025m

The end correction is 0.025m.

Hence, option (B) is correct.
