Therefore, the slope of the tangent to the curve is 6x12y1+1.

Step 2 : Determine the slope of the normal at 0,32.

y'=y1-y2x1-x2y'=y1-32x1-0y'=2y1-32x1

Therefore, the slope of the normal to the curve is 2y1-32x1.
