Solution

Step 1:

  • CdSO4(s)Cd2+(aq)+SO42-(aq)(s)(s)
  • As given s is 8.0×10-4molL-1
  • Ksp=s2=(8.0×10-4)2=64×10-8

Step 2:

  • CdSO4(s)Cd2+(aq)+SO42-(aq)(s)(s+10-2)
  • Ksp(CdSO4)=64×10-6=s(s+10-2)
  • 64×10-6s(s+10-2)64×10-6s×10-2=64×10-6

Therefore, 64×10-6 is its solubility 0.01M H2SO4.
