Conduction basically means the transfer of energy in a material.
Conduction is the process of transmission of energy from one particle of the medium to the other but here each particle of the medium stays at its own position.
Conduction can be of three types: 3.1 Electric conduction: In electric conduction, electrons move inside material from one point to another by means of a potential difference. This forms electric current. 3.2 Thermal Conduction: It is a method by which heat energy is transferred by one atom to neighboring atoms in solids. 3.3 Photo conduction: The process in which a substance conduct electricity to an extent by depending on the intensity of light-radiant energy.
