In a right-angled triangle, the sinθ is given as the ratio between the opposite side and the hypotenuse.

The reciprocal of sine is cosecant. cosecθ is given as the ratio between the hypotenuse and the opposite side.

sin(θ)=oppositesidehypotenuse

cosec(θ)=hypotenuseoppositeside

Hence,the reciprocal of sine is cosine.
