Ohm's Law states that," The current flowing through the conductor is directly proportional to the voltage across the ends of the conductor, provided temperature and other physical conditions remaining constant".
Ohm's law can be mathematically written as, or where R is the resistance, V the applied voltage and I is the current.
From the equation of ohm's law we can see that which means that if the resistance increases, current decreases.
Therefore, when the resistance is increased, current decreases.
