  1. Resistance is the property of a substance to oppose the electric current. It is denoted by R.
  2. In general, when we increase the temperature the atoms begin to collide and start providing resistance and produce heat.
  3. In the case of Metal conductors, increasing the temperature makes the electron flow difficult and hence resistance increases with an increase in temperature.
  4. Semiconductors like Silicon, and Germanium the substance in which resistance decreases with an increase in temperature.
