Question

Why do parallel lines never meet?

Open in App
Solution

Two lines are said to be parallel if the distance between two lines is the same till infinity.

When two lines intersect each other, the shortest distance between them is zero.

This condition does not hold for parallel lines.

Hence, the parallel lines never meet.
