Question

Why is gravity the weakest force?

Open in App
Solution

The reason for gravity being the weakest force:

  • Mathematically gravitational force is given as,

F=GMmR2

F=Gravitational force

M=Mass of the first body

m=Mass of the second body

R=The distance between the center of the two bodies.

G=The gravitational constant

  1. Here, the value of G=6.67×10-11Nm2Kg2.
  2. The value of G is a very small value, so this is why the overall value of gravitational force decreases too much, so the gravitational force has a very small value. [Reason]

Hence, gravity is the weakest force.
