Why is there no gravity in space?

Open in App
Solution

Gravitational Force:

  1. The gravitational force, also referred as gravity, is the force of attraction between two masses.
  2. It depends on the masses of the objects and the distance between the centers of the objects.

Earth's gravity:

  1. It is the force by which earth pulls the objects towards its surface.
  2. As the distance of the objects outer the earth's surface is very large, the gravitational force of earth weakens.
  3. Consequently, these objects does not experience earth's gravity.

Hence, there is no gravity in space.
