Eubacteria:

  1. Eubacteria (true bacteria) are found all over the earth. For example, cyanobacteria.
  2. They possess a rigid cell wall and the lipids present in the cell membrane are ester-linked.
  3. All eubacteria are not pathogenic. Some of them are highly beneficial to humans in various ways.

Benefits of eubacteria:

  1. Cyanobacteria such as Anabaena and Nostoc help in nitrogen fixation.
  2. Nitrosomonas oxidize ammonium to nitrite and helps in recycling nitrogen.
  3. Streptomyces are a vital source of several antibacterial and antifungal medications.
