Living organisms are linked:

  1. Livings organisms are made up of cells. They can grow, replicate, and respond to environmental stimuli. Example: microorganisms, plants, animals, etc.
  2. All living organisms are linked to one another since they contain nucleic acids such as deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and ribonucleic acid (RNA).
  3. Despite sharing the same nucleic acids, living organisms show variations due to mutations and recombination.
  4. DNA is responsible for transmitting hereditary information from parents to offspring, whereas, RNA plays a vital role in translation.
