Triploblastic animals:

1. Organisms with three germ layers are referred to as triploblastic organisms.
2. Three germ layers are ectoderm, mesoderm, and endoderm.
3. The presence of mesoderm allows them to develop actual organs.
4. Example- Platyhelminthes, annelids, arthropods, etc.
5. They are primarily coelomates; however, triploblastic animals like flatworms (Platyhelminthes) are acoelomates.

Coelomates:

1. Organisms with a true coelom, are known as eucoelomates or coelomates.
2. A coelom is the fluid-filled body cavity between the alimentary canal and the body wall.
3. This cavity is lined by mesoderm on both sides (towards the body wall & towards the gut).
4. This cavity contains body organs suspended in it by mesenteries.
5. Coelomates include organisms from the phylum Annelida, Arthropoda, etc.
