Gymnosperm:

  1. Gymnosperm is a type of plant which bear seeds directly on sporophyll without covering.
  2. They are vascular plants of the kingdom Plantae and bear naked seeds.
  3. Examples: Pine, spruce, ginkgo, and cycads.

Angiosperm:

  1. Angiosperms bear seeds in their fruits and have mature ovaries.
  2. They form flowers which carry reproductive organs and fruits.
  3. They are more adaptive to terrestrial habitats and have a very wide distribution in the environment.
  4. Example: Mango, Banana, Cherry, Apple, Peach.
  5. Oak trees are angiosperm as their seeds are present within their acorns.
  6. Acorn’s cap protects their seeds with hard outer shells which help them to survive for months and improve their chances of sprouting.
