There are 3 domains of life- Bacteria, Archaea, and Eukarya.

Viruses:

  1. Infectious agents that replicate inside a host's body are called viruses.
  2. They are neither living nor non-living.
  3. They are acellular and multiply when inside a host cell.
  4. Viruses are not included in the above system of classification as they do not share any characteristics with any of the domains.
