  2. The blood test is the most common laboratory test that helps to diagnose various diseases and conditions.
  3. There are different types of blood tests like- Hba1c (for checking glucose level), complete blood count (to detect different specialized cells), etc.

Lung diseases:

  1. Lung diseases are any health condition that prevents the lungs to function properly.
  2. The most common lung diseases are- asthma, acute bronchitis, pneumonia, and Pulmonary oedema.

Blood test for lung diseases:

  1. In general blood tests are not used to diagnose lung problems.
  2. For lung disorders, different methods are used to detect other than blood tests. like spirometry, lung volume test, and gas diffusion test.
  3. There can be some blood tests that can help to get a sense of a person's overall lung health.
  4. Blood tests can be used to determine some bacterial diseases in the lungs like pneumonia. In this case blood culture shows bacterial growth in the laboratory.
