DNA:

  1. DNA or deoxyribonucleic acid is a helically twisted double chain macromolecule.
  2. It is made of deoxyribose sugar, phosphate groups, and nucleotides.
  3. It constitutes the genetic material of all organisms with the exception of ribovirus (it contains RNA).
  4. DNA can be washed off by certain enzyme-like deoxyribonuclease enzymes.
  5. Some harsh chemicals like detergents or acids can wash DNA.
