  1. Vitamins are organic molecule which is essential for normal cell function, growth, and development.
  2. Vitamins are required for a body in the appropriate amount.
  3. There are 13 essential vitamins required for a healthy life.
  4. Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, Vitamin K, Vitamin B1 (thiamine), Vitamin B2 (riboflavin), Vitamin B3 (niacin), Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine), Vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin), Pantothenic acid (B5), Biotin (B7), Folate (folic acid or B9).
  5. Vitamins are classified into two groups based on their solubility- Fat-soluble and Water-soluble vitamins.
  6. Fat-soluble vitamins are stored in the liver, fatty cells, and muscles of the body. They are vitamin A, E, D, and K.
  7. Water-soluble vitamins are vitamin C and all vitamin B.
  8. An excessive amount of vitamins cause many health problems and sometimes its leads to cancer, fatigue, nausea, and muscle weakness.
  9. Excessive Vitamin D causes intestinal problems. Excess vitamin D is also responsible for kidney stones.
  10. Excessive vitamins can cause intestinal problems in the body.
