Solution

Central transporter:

  1. The central transporter is a protein ring consisting of two iris of 8 arms each.
  2. They act like diaphragms in the camera, allowing the movement of nuclear proteins and RNA from the nucleus to the cytoplasm.

Short filaments:

  1. Short filaments extend from the cytoplasmic ring to the cytoplasm.
  2. Whereas the basket is extended from the nucleoplasmic ring to the nucleoplasm.
  3. It is composed of 8 proteinaceous filaments, each about 1000Å in length.
  4. Microfilaments are also known as actin filaments.
  5. They are protein filaments in the cytoplasm of eukaryotic cells that form part of the cytoskeleton.
  6. They are primarily composed of polymers of actin but are modified and interacted with by many other proteins in the cell.
