  2. Biomass is the most important fuel that is used for cooking and heating purposes.
  3. Biomass sources for energy include- waste from firewood, wood chips, and various agricultural crops ( corn, soybeans, sugarcane) that produce biofuels, animal manure, and human sewage.
  4. Water is used in biomass plants in huge amounts.
  5. Biomass plants pollute local water bodies.
  6. After use, water is released back into the source at a higher temperature, disrupting the water ecosystem.
