Question

How are Chemoautotrophs and Heterotrophs formed?

Open in App
Solution

Chemoautotrophism:

  1. Prokaryotes synthesize carbohydrates molecules from inorganic substances in the ocean with the help of enzymes.
  2. For this synthesis energy is required which is obtained from anaerobic breakdown.
  3. This process is called chemoautotrophism.

Formation of heterotrophs:

  1. Heterotrophs are primitive cells that were not able to synthesize food.
  2. They all were anaerobes.
  3. If surrounding medium food gets exhausted, some become saprophytes while others became parasites.
