Transportation of oxygen in the blood:

  3. The rest 3% gets dissolved in the water of the plasma and blood cells.
  4. Haemoglobin is a haem-containing protein that is present in red blood cells.
  5. It is the primary carrier of oxygen in the blood.
  6. Haemoglobin collects oxygen in respiratory organs, mainly in the lungs, and releases it into the tissue in order to generate necessary energy.
