Chest pain:

  1. It is frequently associated with the heart.
  2. However, chest pain can also be caused by problems with your lungs, esophagus, muscles, ribs, or nerves.
  3. Some of these conditions are serious and even fatal. Others, however, are not.

Symptoms of chest pain:

  1. An unexpected sensation of pressure, squeezing, tightness, or crushing beneath your breastbone.
  2. Pain in your chest that spreads to your jaw, left arm, or back.
  3. Sudden, sharp chest pain accompanied by shortness of breath, particularly after a prolonged period of inactivity.
  4. Nausea, dizziness, rapid heart rate or rapid breathing, confusion, ashen color, or excessive sweating are all symptoms.
  5. Extremely low blood pressure or heart rate.
  6. Coughing up yellow-green mucus or having a fever.
  7. Swallowing difficulties
  8. Severe chest pain that isn't going away.
