  1. In insects, gaseous exchange occurs through spiracles.
  2. Spiracles are holes present on the body of the insect.
  3. The oxygen enters through these holes into the trachea.
  4. From the trachea the oxygen enters the blood circulation and gets utilised.
  5. The carbon dioxide is collected and is expelled through the spiracles.
