Open in App
Solution

Leydig's cells in spermatogenesis:

  1. The anterior pituitary gland release the LH (luteinizing hormone) and ICSH (Interstitial cells stimulating hormone).
  2. These hormones stimulate the Leydig cells present in the testis.
  3. On stimulation of Leydig cells, they secrete androgens (testosterone).
  4. Testosterone is the predominant hormone that brings about the growth of secondary sex organs.
  5. Testosterone stimulates spermatogenesis in seminiferous tubules.
