Question

How do you find Km and Vmax?

Open in App
Solution

Km and Vmax:

  1. Vmax is the maximum reaction velocity at which all enzymes become saturated with substrate.
  2. Km is the substrate concentration at which half of the maximum velocity is achieved.
  3. We can determine Vmax and Km for a reaction by plotting a graph of the rate of reaction (v) against the concentration of substrate [S].
