Bacterial transformation:

1. Bacterial transformation is a process of horizontal gene transfer by which some bacteria take up foreign genetic material (naked DNA) from the environment.
2. We can know if the bacterial transfer was successful or not by growing them in an antibiotic plate.
3. Only those bacteria that have been transformed with a plasmid containing the resistance gene, will survive.
