Prevention of algae bloom:

  1. Aeration - Increase dissolved oxygen in the water body by using floating fountains and submersed aerators.
  2. Disposing yard wastes properly.
  3. Biological augmentation - Introducing beneficial bacteria to the water body to fight algal growth
  4. Regular home septic system inspection to check for leaks
  5. Check water quality to identify causing factors.
